WeatherTravel (“the app”) is a travel weather conditions viewer that displays publicly available data from the U.S. National Weather Service (NWS / weather.gov). This policy explains what information the app accesses and how it is used.

Information We Collect

We do not collect, store, sell, or share any personal information.

  • Location: If you use the “find my location” feature on the map, the app requests your device location solely to center the map on your area. Your location is used on-device and is sent only to the National Weather Service map service to display the map view. It is never stored by us or transmitted to any server we control.
  • No accounts: The app has no login, no user accounts, and no advertising.
  • No analytics or tracking: The app does not include third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.

Third-Party Data

The app loads weather and road-condition information from the National Weather Service (https://www.weather.gov). When the map loads, your device communicates directly with weather.gov and its content delivery providers to retrieve map tiles and forecast data. Your use of that content is subject to the NWS/NOAA terms.

Not Affiliated With Weather.gov or NOAA

WeatherTravel is an independent application. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Weather.gov, the National Weather Service, or NOAA. All weather data is provided by the National Weather Service and is in the public domain.

Children’s Privacy

The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
